Why do I have 14 day cover?

We understand that buying a new car is a huge decision and it’s easy to be swamped with all the facts and figures. The buzz of the sale - and then the paperwork! And there’s generally lots of it.

Your dealer will have looked at your needs and carefully offered you products and services they feel will make owning and running your car cheaper, or ones which help sort out potential problems in the future.

Now, at this point we are generally one of two people:

‘OK, I don't want to take any risks and I understand the benefits of having the cover', or, ‘not sure – can we thing about it’.

Now this can be a polite way of saying ‘No thanks’, or it can really mean you need to think about it because you’re not ready to make a choice right now.

And that’s why we give you the 14 day cover.

We don’t want you to miss out on the protection it gives you, (you’d be surprised how many new cars pick up small knocks to the bodywork or alloy wheels in the first couple of weeks) but we don’t want you to feel pressured either and the extra bit of time gives you a moment to choose the right level of cover.
